Introducing Rocscience

Founded in 1996 as a spin-off company from the University of Toronto, Rocscience is a world leader in the commercial development of cutting-edge 2D and 3D geomechanics modelling software for application to a wide range of ground engineering problems.

Rocscience software is currently used by more than 7,000 customers and 280 universities in over 120 countries around the world and includes class-leading programs for:

  • 2D and 3D slope stability analysis;
  • 3D settlement analysis;
  • muti-purpose 2D and 3D finite element analysis;
  • pile and pile group analysis (axial and lateral loading);
  • parameter estimation; and
  • stereographic projection.

GeoConsult’s Dr Ian Williams is the UK Representative for Rocscience. An independent Geotechnical Engineer with a Degree in Civil Engineering, a PhD in Computational Soil Mechanics and almost 30 years in industry, Ian is here to provide existing and prospective users with technical support and practical guidance.
